I'm Leslie Robinson.
A proud Los Angeles resident since 1991.
I work with the Lange Foundation:
a Southern California non-profit organization dedicated to saving companion animals.
In 2010, I became an adopter and volunteer.
I've since become a fixture there, as a behaviorist
and feline socialization expert.
My passion: working with cats and humans.
To reduce stress.
To promote harmony in the shelter and at home.
To advocate as a “middleman” between species.
To achieve positive outcomes.
A Los Angeles institution since 1993, Lange has rescued over 20,000 animals from city and county shelters that would have otherwise been euthanized.
This wonderful nonprofit organization began with its Halfway Home Kennel in West Los Angeles. In 2007, they expanded their rescue work to include the desert shelters--purchasing a 4.5-acre property in the Santa Clarita Valley, known as St. Bonnie's Sanctuary.
As well as being fully dedicated to saving animals from local shelters, often providing costly medical care they are active agents in the TNR community and run a spay-and-neuter voucher program.
Lange Foundation runs a safety net program in the Antelope Valley. They also run ntervention programs in San Bernardino, Apple Valley, and South Los Angeles, providing financial and material assistance to people and their pets.
Their impact over the years, in the Southern California area, cannot be overstated. It's a very special organization, one that I am so proud to be involved with!
